Spring School 2026 | Applications Open
The 18th edition of Spring School challenges Law students to step outside their traditional orbit and explore new frontiers of the legal profession.
On March 30 and 31 and April 1, 2026, at the Hotel MH Atlântico in Peniche, 100 Law students from across the country will have the opportunity to develop essential soft skills — such as critical thinking, resilience, and professional ethics — combined with a reflection on the legal challenges of the digital space era.
Law is no longer confined to Earth. Satellites, space data, and new technologies are redefining borders and economies, in a context where innovation, digital sovereignty, and human rights intersect. For the lawyers of the future, understanding space is understanding the next chapter of the world.
In the year it celebrates its 50th anniversary, VdA positions itself at the forefront of this evolution. At Spring School, we challenge students to look at space — and at Law — from a new perspective: more aware, innovative, and visionary.
Spring School 2026 also includes:
Practical workshops to develop the skills most valued by law firms
Inspiring talks on the challenges and opportunities of the legal profession in the digital space era
Networking and experience-sharing with professionals from the legal sector
The registration fee for the 100 selected students (€50) will be donated to the CAZA Association. This ASsociation was created by young people from the Zambujal neighborhood (Amadora) to promote positive change in their community. One of its main projects is Zambujal 360, which aims to transform the neighborhood into an ambassador for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through an open-air urban art gallery, helping to combat stigma and encourage new initiatives.
The CAZA Association also intends to use the donation to create a Music Studio in the neighborhood, offering young people opportunities for human and social development through music and the arts.
The 100 selected students will be invited to take part in a food collection campaign for Fundação LIGA, which supports people in vulnerable situations, especially people with disabilities. Fundação LIGA promotes autonomy, training, employment inclusion, and access to the arts, supporting around 400 people in Lisbon and serving approximately 200 meals every day. The food collected will help ensure the continuation of this support.
