VdAcademia, VdA's certified training association is offering the second international traineeship together with the Latin America House (Casa da América Latina). The six month traineeship at VdA is open to students with a degree in Law from any South American country and will focus on financial law, commercial law, regulation, competition, tax among other areas, according to the applicant's profile. The trainee will be attributed a € 1.000 Euros monthly grant and a certificate at the end of the term. "Through this trainee program established in partnership with Casa da América Latina we are deepening the already strong relationships we are glad to hold with South America in what regards legal knowledge and cultural exchange. It a a great pleasure and an honour to enter into this partnership with an institution that so strongly promotes both cultural and economic relations between our country and Latin America", says Rodrigo Esteves de Oliveira, partner at VdA and prsident at VdAcademia.  

Melissa Viola, the argentinian lawyer who was accepted as the first international trainee under VdAcademia and Casa da América Latina's trainee program arrived two months and two weeks ago coming from 'Marval, O'Farrell & Mairal' at Buenos Aires, to VdA. Melissa applied to VdAcademia's international trainee programme because she heard of it from 'a Portuguese lawyer and friend I met when I did an exchange programe at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, in Brazil' and she loves 'getting to know new cultures and new languages'. At VdA, Melissa says to have found 'the gratifying opportunity, both at a personal and professional level t learn how top European law firms work'.
