Mauro Amilton, student at ISCTEM is the winner of VdAcademia Award in Mozambique for the year 2012. The award was handed over in Mozambique at ISCTEM's premises.

This was the first time VdAcademia's challenge was launched abroad and it was addressed to all law students at ISCTEM - Instituto Superior de Ciências e Tecnologia de Moçambique (Science and Technology College of Mozambique) which wished to present a written essay on the "Rightful land use and benefit: present and future". "Since my early days studying Law it is my strong belief that more than sitting back apathetically before reality, a true lawyer should develop a critical sense and an investigative spirit; through this award VdAcademia is not only fostering but rewarding such a spirit.  I feel immensely honoured to have received this prize" said Mauro Amilton.

VdAcademia Mozambique award follows the established cooperation protocol signed between VdA and ISCTEM. VdA's cooperation with the Mozambican academic institution comes also under the scope of VdAtlas, the firm's international platform, which, apart from assuring the same standards of legal assistance anywhere in the world, aims to strengthen Portuguese speaking countries' professional bonds.

It is also both institutions' aim to promote excellence and to reward merit, through VdAcademia award Mozambique.
