VdA Academia Spring School returns in an online format, adapted to these new times. This year’s edition, which will be held on 29, 30 and 31 March, is focused on the rapid transformation the world, in general, and the field of law, in particular, are experiencing and the impact of these changes on the behavioural competencies considered essential to practicing law.

Ensuring the essence of this soft skills development programme, which is already well-known among law students, and under the motto “Listen.Learn.Live”, VdA Academia will challenge you, during these 3 days of inspiring workshops and talks, to listen and learn about emerging trends in the legal sector and how the sector is being impacted by digital transformation; to recognise the importance of life-long learning and develop game-changing skills for your future career paths as lawyers; and to live an immersive gaming experience, among other activities.

Participants will be further challenged, by VdA lawyers and managers with whom they will interact and learn from their experience and know-how, to reflect on the changes this new world has brought and the legacy it will leave us with.

Participants of the VdA Academia Spring School will also have the chance to win prizes, such as a career coaching session with VdA’s Human Resources and Professional Development teams, which will provide students with support in designing a plan to achieve their goals and simulated recruitment interviews with personalised feedback to help improve their performance.

Participation in the Spring School involves the payment of a symbolic registration fee (€15) that will be channelled towards youth employability projects run by the non-profit association TESE – Associação para o Desenvolvimento.

Applications are open, here, until 15 March.
